Our Story

Statement of Faith

Our foundational beliefs that guide our ministry and mission worldwide

1

Concerning the Bible

The Bible (both the Old Testament and the New Testament) is God's standard for us. The Bible in its original autographs was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. It has no error/mistake or contradiction on any or every subject it teaches, hence it is our ultimate authority. We further maintain that the Bible is the basis for our teaching, the basis for determining what is wrong or right (both in God's ways and man's ways), hence the basis for correcting any wrongs such that we can daily and willingly keep on the paths and practices demanded by God (our creator).

Concerning God

We believe that there is only one and only true God, the creator of all things. He is living, He pre-existed, He is self-existent, eternal, infinite, He is All powerful, All Knowing, and not limited by space. He does whatever He wants, in a way He wants it, at the time He wants it, and through whom He wants it. Hence, He can neither be coerced nor stayed (withheld) in any way. Further still, we believe that God is one essence with the Son and the Holy Spirit. This tri-unity is a divine mystery that cannot be fully comprehended with the human brain.

Concerning Jesus Christ

We believe in the personality and work of Jesus Christ as taught both in the Old and New Testament. For example, as taught in the book of John and other scriptures that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God who redeemed humanity from the penalty of sin which was due unto us. He willingly and humbly took on the form of man so as to be a substitute for mankind at the cross. Hence Jesus Christ is the life giver and everyone who would have eternal life must believe in Him. To sum this up; Jesus Christ is God, creator of heaven and earth.

Concerning the Holy Spirit

We believe that God is Spirit. God as the Holy Spirit revealed Himself in this way more vividly on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2), and continued through the first Apostles, and to the church now in dimensions which He desires. He convicts, guides and teaches (John16), He regenerates (John 3:5-6, 8; Titus 3:5), He baptizes those who believe in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13), He indwells those who believe in Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19), He fills them (Luke 4:1; Acts 2:4; Ephesians 5:18), He illuminates them to understand spiritual things and scriptures (1 Corinthians 2:10-13), He intercedes and helps us in prayer (Romans 8:26-27; Ephesians 6:18; Jude 20; 1 John 5:14-15), The Holy Spirit resurrects or brings to life (Romans1:4; 8:11), He sanctifies/sets us apart from the world unto God (Romans 15:16; 1 Corinthians6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter1:2), He sends us into His work (Acts 13:4), He is a guarantee or deposit that God has got more and better for all believers in Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 1:22; 5:5; Eph. 1:14), He seals and secures us unto eternal life (2 Cor. 1:22; Eph. 1:13-14; 4:30).

Concerning Man and Sin

We believe that Man (including female) was created by God in his image to have dominion over all things but in submission to God. That Man and woman sinned and lost their initial glory (Genesis1, 2, and 3). Hence, we believe that Man can be reconciled, restored and revived ONLY by believing the redemptive and substitutionary work of Jesus Christ at the cross (Romans 3, 5; 2 Corinthians 5, etc.). Lastly, that man is given salvation as a gift and to be received by faith not by works of righteousness. However, man must continue in good works after receiving the gift of salvation.

Concerning the Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ composed of all Believers worldwide. Jesus Christ kept it as a mystery from the previous ages and only revealed it and started it in the due time (Matthew16:18; and Ephesians3:1-13). Hence the Church (Believers in Jesus Christ) is now the God's program through which He disciples and prepares (spiritually, socially, psychologically, in terms of physical well-being, etc.) humanity for the eternal future (for which the full details are only known to Him).

Concerning the Future

We believe that God has an eternal future for the world at large. We believe in the imminence of the catching away of saints by Jesus Christ to meet Him in the sky. We believe that Jesus Christ will Judge both believers and unbelievers (the dead will rise again). The Believers in Jesus Christ will be rewarded by Jesus Christ and sent to heaven while the unbelievers will be condemned to Hell (a place of everlasting punishment).
